Biography
LowKey is a Chicago area rap artist who has been performing for over 10 years. He brings to the stage a highly energetic performance ans a style all his own. Born and raised on Chicago's Westside, LowKey writes about his own urban experiences and speaks of the joys and pains of life. His music is inspired by rap artist past and present and he specializes in feel good music.
LowKey has performed at venues throughout Chicago and Atlanta which lead him to sign with the now defunct, Lawless Records in 2001. This yielded an opportunity to work and collaborate with other Chicago area artist and producers. LowKey began performing as a member of the rap trio Swaltou and later recorded his debut solo album, The Gravedigger, which has been circulating through the streets of Chicago since 2004. To promote this release, LowKey has made numerous appearance throughout Chicagoland performing at clubs, festivals, and community events.
Because of strong response to The Gravedigger, LowKey has begun recording tracks for his second independent release. He is working diligently with new producers to release new material with a bold new sound. Throughout 2007, you can find LowKey performing throughout Chicagoland
