Biography
Brittney Mac was born Nov.29th 1986 in Venice,California. The middle child of 3 siblings raised by a single mother, Brittney made raps and riddles to cheer up her family in time of distress. Bouncing around from homeless shelters to hotels, Brittney and her family finally settled in South Central, Los Angeles when she was at the tender age of ten. Residing in the heart of gang banging and crime, Brittney's mother vowed not to let her children become another statistic and bussed her children to school in the San Fernando Valley. Upon graduating from highschool with honors she knew in her heart that college wasn't something she wanted devote her time to. While honing her skills and perfecting her craft as an emcee, Brittney knew she had talent but was too shy to show people outside of her family. After tragically losing a cousin that was victim to the Los Angeles gang life, Brittney vowed to pursue a career in music and show the world her many talents. Starting in a friends basement, where she stayed day and night to perfect her songs, she made her first mixtape titled "Classic Material" which caught the attention of her manager Mark "Mr C.E.O" Jackson and soon led to Mark and her starting there own independent label called DreamTeam Entertainment. Though the mixtape was local, it caught the attention of many, and upon doing so she formed a group with close and long time friends, Young Menace, Thrasher, and M- DOT called Blok Fam. The group immediately made a name for themselves by performing and battling all over the LA area and got numerous offers from various labels. Opening up for Yung Joc, Lil Fizz and selling out their own venues are just a few accomplishments they've made. Unfortunately, one of the members moved out of state due to family issues which caused a minor setback in the groups success. Brittney knew that she still had a destiny to fulfill as the Greatest female femcee to emerge in the rap game so she decided to pursue a solo career and promised to help her fellow group members when she made it. Brittney recently released the "Hip Hop Is Back" mixtape, which caught the attention of SoSodef's newest artist Young Capone as well as various artists and labels. With 10,000 downloads in the first week of her mixtape release, Brittney is getting coined one of the best female lyricist in the game. With her witty flow, lyrical content, and undeniable swagger, Brittney is destined for success and is sure to capture the crown for THE QUEEN OF HIP HOP!
